Today I was thanked for something I didn't do.

That's when I had to explain that this was a change that had been in the works for months, thanks to the Church Growth Task Force that had recommended the purchase of new publishing software. Difficulties in arranging an initial training session for Susan had delayed implementation. So no, I am not the source of every change at church.
